Aerial view of a turquoise wave breaking over a rocky shoreline

Hello, I’m Angela.

I design thoughtful digital experiences inspired by the clarity, movement, and quiet details of the coast.

I’m a designer and developer who enjoys turning ideas into clean, approachable web experiences. My work combines semantic structure, accessible interactions, and visual systems that feel calm without becoming plain. I’m especially interested in the small choices that help a page communicate clearly: meaningful headings, readable typography, useful alternative text, and layouts that remain comfortable across different screen sizes. The Ocean brings those interests together in a personal portfolio project shaped around the colors and rhythms of the shore. Its photographs provide a vivid setting for experimenting with editorial layouts, while the underlying code demonstrates how a static site can still feel considered, responsive, and full of character.

The project began as a flexible HTML and CSS blog template, then grew into a collection of related page layouts. Ocean wildlife, changing tides, aerial coastlines, and quiet beach scenes give each template a shared visual language. The writing is intentionally original to the portfolio, allowing the content and imagery to support one another instead of behaving like unrelated placeholders.

Across the site, I focus on accessible HTML, thoughtful content hierarchy, and details that make browsing feel natural. The Ocean is both a creative study and a practical demonstration of front-end craft—an opportunity to explore how careful design can make even a simple collection of static pages feel cohesive, welcoming, and ready to grow.
